FAQ's

Does filling out the application guarantee me a spot in the ID skate? 

• No. All applicants will be notified via email with a registration link for the camp

Do I have to pay the registration fee now for the camp?

• No. You will be required to pay the registration fee upon receiving the registration link.

Will this be the only Try-out for the U13 AAA team?

• No. We will be hosting a second evaluation in late August. Details will be shared as they become available.

Will players be named to the Roster at this ID Skate?

• Yes. Competitive Thread will be in attendance evaluating players. 

How will I know if my player has been offered a spot on the team?

• Players selected this early in the process will be notified by phone.

If I do not get a phone call, does this mean my player has been cut from the team?

• No. 

Who will be the Head Coach of this team?

• The Head Coach for the Black Gold Jr Oil Kings will be Trevor Matter

Am I in the correct draw zone to try out for this team?

• Beaumont, Leduc and Camrose (Calmar, Devon, Drayton Valley, Maskwacis, Millet, New Sarepta, Pembina, Ponoka, Thorsby, Warburg, Wetaskiwin, Winfield)

  Players residing outside of these draw zones, will be eligible to attend our ID Skate and Fall try-out. The boundaries will be open to any player who DOES NOT have a AAA program in their draw zone. 

Will Beaumont still have a AA team for U13?

• Yes. We will still have a AA team. BAHA is currently working on a replacement Head Coach for the U13AA program.

ALL DETAILS REGARDING THE PROGRAM AND PROGRAM COSTS WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE PARENT MEETING. ID CAMP SCHEDULES WILL BE EMAILED TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AFTER RIGISTRATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
