Beginning with the 2026/2027 season, BAHA has implemented an updated volunteer program.
Each registered player carries a requirement of 8 Association Volunteer Hours per season.
Volunteer opportunities are posted throughout the season and new shifts are added regularly.

Families may choose to buy out their volunteer commitment at the time of registration for $300 per registered player (8 volunteer hours).
Please note:
The buy-out option is only available during the registration process.
Once registration is completed, the buy-out option is no longer available.
Families who do not complete their required volunteer hours and have not purchased the buy-out option will be subject to the $400 non-compliance fee in accordance with the Team Bond Policy.
During the 2025 season, more than 350 volunteer hours went unfilled. The success of BAHA programs depends on the support and participation of our volunteer families.
Families are required to complete 8 Association Volunteer Hours for each registered player.
There is no maximum volunteer hour requirement per family.
As outlined in the Volunteer Policy effective September 1, 2025:
Volunteer shifts cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time will be considered a late cancellation.
Failure to attend a scheduled volunteer shift will be considered a no-show.
In either case, volunteers will be required to:
Complete the originally assigned hours; and
Complete additional volunteer hours equal to the hours missed.
Example:
Missing a 4-hour volunteer shift will result in an additional 4-hour volunteer requirement being added to your account.
BAHA reserves the right to modify or cancel volunteer shifts up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
If BAHA cancels a shift within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, volunteer credit will still be awarded.
If a shift is cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, volunteers will be required to register for another available shift.
BAHA will send one email notification regarding any shift changes or cancellations. Once a shift is removed from the volunteer portal, no further reminder or confirmation emails will be issued.

All volunteer shifts are subject to change up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Volunteers will be notified by email if a shift date, time, or location changes.
